Move The Needle Music
Move The Needle Music LLC was founded in 2019 by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Mick Hayes as a record label to launch his 2020 release, My Claim to Fame. Since then, it has grown into a passion project with music always at the forefront.
In March 2025, Mick released the first single from his upcoming album Lies & Letdowns, produced by and featuring Joe Bonamassa, Josh Smith, and their touring band. Frustrated by the challenges of securing reviews, news coverage, and in-depth pieces on his release, Mick decided to channel his energy into something bigger.
Much like Joe, Mick works tirelessly — devoting his passion and free time between gigs to bring Move The Needle Music back online as a webzine, putting independent artists front and center. Looking ahead to 2026, MTNM will focus on supporting artists and connecting listeners through reviews, interviews, concert coverage, lifestyle branding, and a deep love for vinyl and physical media.
